Lacoste L!VE Artists

For the launch of the cool new Lacoste L!VE fragrance and in-keeping with their “New Perspective” theme, 5 very reputable artists had been given a brief to create artwork in the shape of a cube (resembling the bottle shape itself), set in the sunny Palm Springs area of California.

We caught up with a couple of the artists whilst there to find out more about the inspiration behind their unique creations.

Zoer

We witnessed Zoer creating his artwork for a full day whilst we took part in fragrance workshops and interviews with the fragrance expert.

His creation was very interesting and he described it as “Welcome to my universe, my world, my version of the cube. I wanted to capture the young values of the fragrance with dynamic moving objects.”

Zoer is also the face of the new fragrance campaign TV advert, check out the below ‘Making Of’ video to see how he created an optical illusion for the campaign.

Fafi

Fafi is known for her Iconic ‘Fafi Dolls’ which she started painting onto the streets of her hometown in 1994. Sadly unlike Banksy’s creations, these were not preserved and all these paintings are now gone.

However for this project she went down a different route, truly keeping to the New Perspective brief. Since she has been in the industry for over 10 years, we wanted to find out more about her career:

“We do lots of creative projects quite often. Projects like this are important to live and to break the boundaries of your own style. I decided to take a risk and do something different. I invited my Twitter fans to help me create my cube. I believe in always putting yourself in new situations. For example I never thought I would ever release a comic book, and 2012 I did just that.”
