Corinthia London Hotel Review

Housed within a Victorian building dating from 1885 and offering sweeping views across London’s most popular landmarks whilst boasting its very own Harrods store, Corinthia Hotel London provides unrivalled world-class luxury with superb communal offerings including restaurants The Northall and Massimo, and the musically inspired Bassoon Bar.

The hotel has the design features and the wow factor required for a 5 star hotel to stand out ahead of others and bespoke artworks advised by Art Consultant Minda Dowling can be viewed throughout.

It felt as if the hotel had just opened that very day, with no detail left untouched and the interior designs being spotless throughout. The hotel was created by experts with a passion for craftsmanship and an understanding of world-class service.

The Corinthia London hotel has also responded to international demand for the Downton Abbey factor with the launch of day trips to the nearest equivalent in nearby West Sussex – The Petworth Estate. Overnight guests can be transported by helicopter (in minutes) or by Range Rover (1hr) to the exclusive estate where they will take part in activities such as game hunting, fly fishing and deer stalking.

The Room

Combining traditional grandeur with modern freshness, the hotel boasts the largest room sizes in London, original restored Victorian columns and tall windows that let in swathes of natural light. Our room featured a balcony (rare for London) which looked down onto a courtyard above the hotels centre soaring dome with 1,001 crystal baubles (1 is red representing the heart of the hotel), adorned with the pioneering Full Moon chandelier created by Parisian designer Chafik Gasmi and produced by Baccarat, the prestigious French crystal manufacturer

Northall Restaurant

Garry Hollihead, winner of Michelin stars at three different establishments, is at the helm of The Northall. The restaurant celebrates the best of British artisan produce, including Cumbrian short horn cattle, together with an extensive selection of organic and biodynamic wines. Food aside, the restaurant space itself is very stylish, with high ceilings and a Mad Men ambiance.

ESPA Life

The largest of urban London’s hotel spas extents four floors and features 17 treatment rooms, a private spa suite, indoor pool, vitality pool, amphitheatre sauna, ice fountain, marble heated lounges, private sleep pods, a state-of-the-art gym and Daniel Galvin hair salon.

ESPA Life at Corinthia has recently launched two new male grooming packages. With men’s grooming growing in demand, they have taken its offering for men to the next level with the ultimate gentleman’s packages aimed at routine quick fixes and an all over body polish and prune. They have pulled together the most essential grooming needs of a modern man and created the all-encompassing ‘Gentleman’s Topiary’ offering and the more maintenance focused ‘Whisky and Wet Shave’.
