Lynx Black Space Opens in Brick Lane

Black Space, brought to you by Lynx, is just a few doors down from Rough Trade Records off Brick Lane. Black Space may sound like the sequel to Space Cowboys, only this time with Morgan Freeman, Sidney Poitier, James Earl Jones and Danny Glover, but in fact it's a new social escape that was launched with live sessions from Labryinth and Tinie Tempah with guests such as Reggie Yates and Ella Eyre in attendance (By the way, you know you're on the back-nine of your 30's when you not only fail to recognise the hottest musical property in the UK, but sound like you're having a stroke when you try repeatedly to pronounce her name in her presence).

MWS spoke exclusively to Ann Gottlieb, the nose behind Calvin Klein, Dior, The Postman's Promise and now the brand new Lynx Black fragrance. "We wanted to do something different with Lynx Black, for the more sophisticated gentleman that wants his presence in the room to be known whilst remaining understated, subtle."

"Our demographic is constantly changing, with the introduction of Lynx Black we now cater for every generation, especially the ones that have grown up with Lynx." (The Postman's Promise is not a real scent, I just wanted to make sure you were paying attention). Black Space’s action-packed summer calendar of events includes talks from innovators from the world of business, music, sport, as well as movie nights brought to you by Backyard Cinema. Not to be confused with Backdoor Cinema that does the mid-day matinee Behind the Candelabra and Brokeback Mountain down the Ritzy.

Intimate musical performances from established and up-and-coming artists will also run, offering attendees exclusive access to the hottest talent in town. The hangout also offers a concession by London’s most respected barber, Jack The Clipper, with walk-ins accepted for all services. For the style savvy, Black Space will also house a collaboration with ASOS, with an ever-evolving collection curated exclusively for the store – completing Black Space as the ultimate destination this summer.
