Barbour International + Triumph Motorcycles AW15

Barbour International, the brand inspired by the company’s motorcycle heritage since 1936, has teamed up with Triumph Motorcycles, the oldest continuous production motorcycle company in the world in a two year clothing deal commencing Autumn/Winter 2015.

Global icons, this first collaboration between Barbour International and Triumph is authentic, modern and retro cool. It combines the rich heritage of both brands in sharp, masculine, aspirational styles. The iconic Barbour International jacket is customised exclusively for the collaboration for the motorcyclist purist alongside cut off denim jackets, shirts, chunky knitwear and strong tee designs.

Now an established stand-alone brand, Barbour International has grown significantly in turnover, attracting a new customer base inspired by the brand’s motorcycle heritage. Two Barbour International stores have opened in London in Piccadilly and Canary Wharf and more are planned worldwide. Within key global wholesale partners, Barbour International is now showcased in clearly defined branded spaces with their own look and feel.

Paul Wilkinson, Head of Global Marketing, Barbour International said “With Barbour International firmly established as a separate brand, a collaboration with the most iconic of all motorcycling names was the next step. Both brands are British names synonymous with motorcycling and have a great deal of synergy. Steve McQueen rode a Triumph Bonneville, perhaps one of the most famous motorcycles of all time and he also wore Barbour International, the original biker jacket when he competed in the 1964 International Six Day Trials as a member of the US team. We are delighted to be working with Triumph to create modern day collections inspired by our shared motorcycling history.”

Paul Stroud, Sales and Marketing Director of Triumph said “Triumph and Barbour International both share a rich heritage and an exciting future. This collaboration brings together two iconic brands with a genuine passion for motorcycling and a reputation for quality. The new range of clothing has been carefully designed to reflect the values of both brands with the authenticity and timeless appeal that made Triumph and Barbour the first choice, both in the 1960s and for today.”
