TRIWA Time For Peace II Watch Made from Illegal Firearms

In 2015, El Salvador was considered the world’s most deadly country outside a war zone. The homicide rate was epidemic, and nearly 80% of crimes were being committed with illegal firearms. The cost of this violence wasn’t limited to human life, with staggering social and economic consequences hanging in the balance. When you wear a TRIWA X Humanium 2.0 watch, you become part of the journey to change all this. The destructed firearm on your wrist is not only a firearm that can never again be used for harm but a way to infuse hope back into conflict-torn communities. TRIWA have partnered with nonprofit company, IM, so that 15% of every sale directly benefits the society from which the firearms were originally collected and supports the victims of armed violence.

The flagship Humanium Metal weapons destruction program was initiated in November 2016 in El Salvador. In cooperation with Salvadoran authorities, IM produced 1 ton of Humanium Metal. Since then, the program has been directly responsible for the removal and destruction of thousands of illegal firearms. TRIWA X Humanium Metal is an extension of this program, contributing to the demand for Humanium Metal while raising funds for anti-violence initiatives.

After TRIWA's first campaign in 2018, IM was able to melt down almost 5,000 illegal firearms and give back over $70,000 to NGO IM and their local anti-violence projects in El Salvador. This flagship Humanium Metal Watch even became the first external brand to be sold at the official UN shop in New York. With TRIWA X Humanium Metal 2.0, they hope to make an even bigger impact. More destructed illegal weapons... More anti-violence funding… More PEACE.

Now, TRIWA are back with a bigger humanitarian goal than ever. Forged from their biggest meltdown of illegal firearms yet... Stamped with the symbolic Humanium Metal logo... Bold and sophisticated in slate grey steel with fiery red accents… Telling a new story of hope for a country where one out of every 1,000 residents will die as a result of gun violence… It’s time for peace. With the TRIWA X Humanium Metal 2.0 collection, they’re elevating their designs to a new level of subtlety and sophistication. Every watch comes with a certificate of authenticity, an exclusively made box, and elements of artisan craftsmanship that is second-to-none.
