Valentine’s Day is here again Gentlemen, and therefore it’s time to uncover your romantic side and show your loved ones how special they are. Whether it's a fragrance to wine and dine with, or one to spend a cosy night in with, I've got you covered. I'm in no doubt that you all smell fantastic year-round, but if you want to take it to the next level, here are my picks for the best Valentines fragrances for you to reach for this year.

Creed - Aventus  

Creed Aventus has set the trend for men’s fragrances for the past decade. Renowned for its unique and intoxicating combination of pineapple, birch and vanilla, Aventus strikes a perfect balance of being fresh and uplifting whilst retaining great depth and character. A Valentine’s choice that conveys confidence and there is nothing more attractive than that.

Tom Ford - Black Orchid 

If a dark, seductive and opulent fragrance is what you’re searching for, then Black Orchid by Tom Ford may be just the scent for you. Tom Ford Black Orchid is a unisex fragrance that features notes of chocolate, truffle, patchouli and orchid. I’d recommend pairing with a box of chocolates and a bunch of red roses, the perfect scent for a romantic evening.

Hugo Boss - Boss Bottled 

Boss Bottled is incredibly 22 years old, and it still remains one of my favourite designer fragrances to this day. A wonderful combination of apple, cinnamon and vanilla that come together to create a warm, confident and timeless scent. Boss Bottled is a scent that draws people in, and would be perfect for a cosy night in.

Guerlain - L’Homme Ideal 

Valentines is a night for indulging in delicious food, especially dessert, and if you want to smell good enough to eat, then allow me to introduce L’Homme Ideal by Guerlain. A delectable combination of almond, tonka bean and leather. Think marzipan and amaretto, as you enjoy the delicious cherry almond accord.

Dolce and Gabbana - The One 

The One opens with notes of coriander, basil and grapefruit, then transitioning to mid notes of orange blossom, amber and the star of the show, ginger. The ginger sets on a rich base of amber, cedar and tobacco. The One would be an excellent choice for the gentleman who’s sharply dressed for the evening in his finest suit, a distinguished scent for a wonderful evening.

Dior - Homme Intense  

Dior Homme Intense is your black-tie event choice. A sophisticated scent for a sophisticated evening. The buttery smooth iris note is creamy and enveloping, combined with ambrette, lavender and pear to create a scent that oozes class, style and elegance. Better yet, the fantastic longevity will have you dazzling and charming until the early hours.
