April 2021’s Best Men’s Grooming Drops

Rain, snow, wind and sunshine, April never fails to throw us a few surprises. As the world shows long awaited signs of emerging from lockdown, let me get you ready for it, with my picks of the best grooming drops this month.

Wilkinson Sword Hydro Comfort Skin Reset

Wilkinson Sword have released the latest addition to their Hydro range. Designed to effortlessly take on a week’s beard growth, I accepted the challenge and took it for a spin. The comb guard works by separating the hairs before the 3 blade design trims and shaves to a smooth finish. I was impressed by how effortlessly it glided across my skin, with no irritation or nicks. For anyone with sensitive skin, this is your next razor.

Available from Wilkinson Sword - £17.50 for Razor + 5 blades

Jo Loves Cobalt Patchouli & Cedar

Fragrance can offer many things other than solely smelling fantastic, and Jo Malone has created something truly unique, a fragrance that celebrates a moment in time. As the world is slowly emerging from lockdown, I sit here with the sun shining and the beautiful aroma of Cobalt Patchouli & Cedar in the air, a fragrance that encapsulates the season and national mood perfectly. Refreshing, uplifting, and featuring an airy patchouli note that’s quickly become a favourite of mine. The scent of better days to come.

Available from Jo Loves - £115 for 100ml

Brioni Eau de Parfum

Rome is my favourite city. You can wander for miles in what can only be described as an outdoor museum. World famous landmarks are seemingly placed amongst a landscape of architectural beauty and style. Brioni encapsulate all that is Roman in their luxury stylish and elegant menswear. Now they’ve introduced a signature fragrance, featuring notes of peppercorn, violet, cedar wood and tonka bean. Brioni Eau de Parfum is bold and distinguished, yet understated, the perfect way of adding a little sartorial sophistication to your day.

Available from Brioni - £95 for 100ml

Bulldog Shampoo

Bulldog have launched their first ever range of shampoo. The range features Original Shampoo, Sensitive Shampoo and Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, each of which has it’s own Hero Ingredient. Original uses chicory root, used for its moisturising qualities. Sensitive Shampoo uses Fuji apple extract, a renewable ingredient that works wonders for sensitive scalps. Finally Anti-Dandruff Shampoo uses Jujube bark, native to South America and known for its anti-dandruff properties. Bulldog seem to bring out hit after hit, and this is a home-run!

Available from Bulldog - £5.50 for 300ml

Escentric Molecules Molecule +

Molecule 01 is a fragrance consisting of a single aroma-molecule, ISO E Super. Originally released back in 2006, it made quite the splash in the fragrance world. Now Escentric Molecules have paired Molecule 01 with three natural ingredients, Iris, Patchouli, and my personal favourite Mandarin. Each fragrance in the range demonstrates perfect balance and clarity, and have quickly become my favourite example of the individual notes. Mandarin is my pick for the summer days ahead!

Available from Escentric Molecules - £95 for 100ml

Horace Anti-hair loss serum

Some gents are blessed with a lifelong full head of hair, unfortunately many of us will encounter hair loss throughout our life. Whilst my days of testing hair products aren’t over yet, it’s certainly an issue I deal with. Horace have released an anti-hair loss serum that works to stimulate hair growth whilst decelerating the rate of hair loss. Better yet, your hair will be softer, more supple, stronger, and thicker. Maybe I can enjoy my hair products for a few more years yet.

Available from Horace - £22 for 50ml
