Duke + Dexter Launches Collaboration with Playboy

Let’s go back to the golden age of Playboy: New York penthouse parties, blacked out private jets and the nostalgia of holding your favourite publication in your hands – the Duke + Dexter x Playboy collaboration shows that the modern playboy is equal parts modern and definitive. Made in very limited quantities, this collection highlights the relevance of Playboy’s influence throughout recent history, blending the freedom and self-expression of an American icon with the flare and subversive attitude of one of London’s leading footwear labels. Chosen by D+D, the modern Playboy is American model and artist Luka Sabbat – who’s recent rise has seen him pinned as the poster boy of a -thinking generation through his relevance and originality. Luka’s been shot for D+D x Playboy in LA by Menelik Puryear on 35mm at the infamous La Dolce Vita restaurant and styled by George Cortina. Made up of 8 shoe designs limited to just 250 pairs and a collection of accessories – including an incredibly rare bunny camo robe made in conjunction with British tailor Joseph Darcy.

Archie Hewlett at Duke + Dexter said: "It’s a privilege to team up with Playboy – an icon that’s relevance and reverence has stood the test of time. We’re really excited to show who the modern Duke + Dexter x Playboy is – subversive, tasteful and ultimately, aware. This collection celebrates the golden era of one of the world’s most iconic magazines, by dispelling myths and celebrating it’s class, nostalgia and cultural relevance in all the right ways with Luka Sabbat.”
