The Quin New York Hotel Review

A very convenient location for both park walks and a spot of designer shopping, with the likes of Bergdorg Goodman and Tiffany & Co right around the corner. Located on the corner of 57th Street and 6th Avenue, the Quin is just two short blocks from Central Park and one block from 5th Avenue’s most iconic shopping. This 5 star stylish hotel has a young fashionable creative vibe, with Banksy-esque large canvas murals prominently featured in the grand lobby area and a popular base for many of the fashion industries creatives during fashion week.

The Quin features distinguished amenities including an executive boardroom for 12 and a 24-hour technogym equipped fitness centre.

The Room

Each of the 208 guest rooms and suites provides an urban sanctuary with hand-selected sustainable materials, luxury finishes, distinguished amenities, and state-of-the- art audio-visuals, all of which exude intelligent and considerate sophistication. Our premier suite room was certainly bigger than our own London flat and is exactly how we would furnish an apartment if we had an unlimited budget. Clean lines with a minimal Scandinavian inspired feel, featuring woods, leathers and industrial metals all combined with the latest technology and gadgets for the young refined traveller.

Particular favourites include the Nespresso machine, designer glass-wear, large flat Samsung TV, Fresh bathroom products and the computer room controls which allow for adjusting everything from the lights and blinds to sleep music. Beauty products aside, the bathroom itself is an impressive piece of design with rainfall showers, modern taps and a square bathtub. No corner of the suite has been left out of an interior designer's eye.

The Wayfarer Restaurant

A modern sports bar come Mad Men style restaurant, this was the perfect setting for our preferences. A partnership between Eric Marx and Lisle Richards of the Metric Group and Jimmy Haber of Esquared Hospitality, the Wayfarer is an American seafood grill that offers comfortable dining with effortless style, and features an exceptional menu of locally sourced seafood by chef Cliff Crooks The curved leather seating looks cool and the music combined with an open plan gives a relaxed dining experience.

The food is top class and seriously tasty, combining American classics with an intricate twist. The service from the Sommelier and our host waiter was friendly and the perfect level of not overwhelming and not being ignored. We were given great recommendations and retired to our room very impressed.
