Discover January 2018’s Coolest Stuff

How are we nearing the end of January already? Apparently most of us have broken our New Year's resolutions by now, but I have good faith in our readers; especially after putting out a poll on Twitter and seeing that 57% of you are still going strong. Anyway, the world continues and 2018 has brought some interesting wares our way. I’ve searched for the coolest releases of January and I hope you like what I’ve found this month. There’s rare Supreme gear up for grabs, a collaboration between two British footwear giants and a scientific grooming brand with neat packaging. So, following on from our December round-up, I’ve compiled a list of my favourite products and releases for the month of January 2018 – enjoy.

Woolrich Open Milan Flagship Store

The new Woolrich flagship store was designed by Japanese studio Wonderwall under the guidance of Masamichi Katayama, and spans 700 square meters. The store’s interactive concept comprises a lounge area, a dedicated space for customisation, a green area curated by Green Fingers and an Extreme Weather Experience Room, all of which offer an innovative and fully engaging in-store experience.

Grenson x New Balance

Athletics brand New Balance and traditional British bench-made shoe makers Grenson come together for phase two of their collaboration. After the phenomenal launch of the "One Shoe, Two Factories” collaboration between Grenson and New Balance two years ago, here comes Phase 2. This time a new colourway of the original Men’s 576 sneaker has been created in a mix of classic Grenson Full Grain, Italian calf leathers, including a burnished tan, dark brown and Burnt Oak suede. The real innovation this time around is that the two companies have, for the first time, made a Goodyear Welted version of the 576 crafted entirely in the Grenson factory in Northamptonshire.

Deciem launches NIOD at Mr Porter

True learning is a form of love — it’s humble. It respects that to look forward, it must look backward. The few observers of NIOD's childhood know that it isn't a brand; It's a force and it has a soul. While NIOD's genetics are committed to science, its soul is ultimately rooted in learning. Perhaps the only flaw of modern science is that it grows proud and loses respect for our deserving past — but learning stays humble and looks back. This science-focused brand will be launching at Mr Porter, January 26th.
