Summer Tailoring Inspiration with Next

Just in time for high summer we’ve teamed up with NEXT to style two tailored outfits from their Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Our Editor-in-chief, Craig Landale, styled two outfits with ‘summer in the office’ and ‘summer weddings’ themes. We headed to the English south coast to capture the two different looks on a beautiful sunny day in Bognor Regis.

Summer in the Office

This season can be tricky for men at the office, one minute you’re hot and bothered in a heat wave and the next minute it’s raining and your suit is ruined. We recommend a staple business-friendly linen suit to keep cool when the heat rises and a light-weight raincoat to throw on when an unexpected shower arrives.

Indigo Italian Delave linen suit – this suit gets our vote for the perfect shade of blue. It is 100% linen too which means you’ll keep cool during high summer, especially if we have an August heat wave. Just try not to crease it – hang your jacket up whenever you sit down.

Signature Canclini White Shirt – A simple go-to 100% cotton Oxford shirt. A man can never have too many white shirts, especially when they fit perfectly like this one.

Corsa Magenta Navy Tie – A clean tie for the man who likes quality to do all the talking. There’s nothing overly flashy about this tie with its minimal aesthetic and subtle textured pattern.

Tan Kingston Satchel - Made in England, using Italian milled leather handcrafted into a contemporary and sophisticated styling, complimented with highlight colour detailing. Luxuriously crafted from full grain leather, this satchel is an easy way to maintain your sartorial standards.

Loake Tan Suede Derby Shoes – a true summer shoe staple which is both simple yet striking and perfect for work or play. Teamed with seasonal tailoring for work and with smart rolled jeans at the weekend.

Signature Single Breasted Mac – Keep dry during your office commute with this simple, clean and understated 100% cotton British Millerain waterproof light-weight jacket with bound seams, genuine horn buttons and real leather buckles.

Summer Weddings

Light shade suits are a good match for any summer formal event. The ultimate, summer wedding, is a good time to wear one and we recommend going three piece with a waistcoat too. Keep the outfit simple with a white shirt and understated tie. This is the groom's day to shine and looking well put together is sufficient enough in our books.

Taupe Prince of Wales Suit – three piece suits are perfect for weddings, and they are flattering for men due to how the waistcoat can give the illusion of an athletic silhouette. Your tie will also stay in place and any unflattering rumples of the shirt are hidden.

Signature Ecru Patterned Tie – this 100% silk tie is clean and understated on first glance, but then rather interesting on a closer look. It teams perfectly with this suit too - bravo!

Loake Tassel Loafers – Made in England by the famous Northamptonshire shoemaker. Both classic and on-trend, they’re guaranteed to turn heads with their high shine burgundy finish.

Signature Canclini Grey Printed Shirt - This shirt is made from premium Italian cotton fabric with removable collarbones to retain the collar shape and a split back yoke for ease of movement. The shirt also features real shell buttons which give that distinct rainbow shine effect.
