NEW BALANCE OPENS FIRST STORE IN BERLIN
OFFERING THE BROADEST COLLECTION AND LIMITED EDITION STYLES
Global athletic and footwear brand New Balance has opened its first standalone store in Germany’s capital Berlin, located on Münzstraße 21, 10178. Offering the broadest collection of New Balance footwear and apparel, alongside limited edition styles and rare collector’s kicks, the new store in Germany’s cultural hot spot will be a haven for sneaker heads and runners alike.
The new store located in Berlin’s popular Mitte district is home to a number of exciting collections, including performance range staples such as Fresh Foam, Vazee and NBx, plus sought after limited edition lifestyle models and firm favourites. The store will also offer an extensive collection of innovative clothing, football and tennis ranges, and offer gait analysis for runners with the Global pre-launch of Stride ID, New Balance’s own technology that matches footwear to your feet.
To celebrate the launch of New Balance’s Berlin location, the brand has launched a strictly limited Made in the USA 998, with only 26 pairs available globally. The model, which takes its character from the German flag and the city of Berlin, is produced from black, red and yellow leather with a bear silhouette stamped on the heel to make a bold Berlin statement.
New Balance Berlin 10178 was originally built in 1891 in the Former East Berlin area. Bridging the gap between old and new, New Balance retains the traditional architecture and gothic characteristics of the building while offering a truly interactive and memorable brand experience once through the door.
Spanning across two floors, the ground floor focuses on innovation and performance with LED screens providing an immersive experience and interactive screens allowing runners to explore New Balance’s latest collaboration with online athlete communities.
The ground floor is also home to the performance running and training collections, complete with a sports bra bar and leggings wall, offering a choice of clothing and footwear to keep Berliners pounding the pavements in style and comfort. The ground floor will also offer tennis and football product seasonally with the LFC kit and Visaro and Furon boots in store.
Upstairs the lifestyle products on offer look right at home among buildings original ceiling moldings and wooden herringbone floors. Limited edition styles and New Balance classics are sure to attract the sneaker connoisseurs and fashion pack of the city.
