Father’s Day 2016 Gift Guide

It is time for you to get your thinking caps on for Father's Day! It is always tricky coming up with a slightly more original idea that will trump the usual patterned socks or DVD. So here at Menswear Style we have come up with a list of 10 special items that we believe make a perfect gift. All Dads deserve a treat on June 19th so why not dig a little deeper this year and buy something they will be really pleased with.

Mr Porter Travel Grooming Set

We absolutely love this travel grooming set from Mr Porter. It literally has everything a man needs for a quick business trip or a weekend away. What is extremely useful is that each product is 100ml or under which means they can be taken in hand luggage without a worry. This set contains some of the industry’s best grooming products including Clinique's Broad Spectrum moisturiser, D R Harris toothpaste and Malin and Goetz face cleanser. A really useful gift.

Johnnie Walker Gold Label

A bottle of tipple that is guaranteed to go down a treat is this blended scotch single malt whiskey from Johnnie Walker available at Alexander & James. This 70cl bottle comes in a beautiful set accompanied by two hexagonal glasses with tasteful gold detailing that match this smooth golden spirit. These combined are an essential gift for a serious drinker and will make any drinks cabinet look smart.

Canterbury Fitness Shirt

For the fitness focused Dad, trying to keep healthy in 2016, why not take a peek at this great piece of sportswear from Canterbury. Canterbury have created some really smart pieces for their SS16 training collection and this running top is certainly one of our favourites. Neon orange and black are a winning combination and with Thermoreg technology this will keep you cool and comfortable during fitness. It is perfect to wear whilst running on a cool day or just as a eye-catching piece of sportswear to wear to and from the gym.

Giles Deacon Whiskey Stones

What better to go with a bottle of whiskey than a set of limited edition whiskey stones. These may seem a bit of a designer luxury for a weekend drink but they will certainly make your whiskey more enjoyable. All you have to do is click on the link and enter the 'competition' to be sent a free set of stones. Fashion designer Giles Deacon collaborated with Heathrow Airport and the recent whiskey festival to produce these snazzy stones. If you don't already know, the idea of them is to prevent your whiskey losing flavour and weakening in strength, which normally happens when using regular ice. These will look really great in a nice crystal tumbler!

They may be simple in design but they are literally the perfect smart shoe which can be worn with any suit for either work or an important occasion. Being leather lined they will be extremely durable and comfortable. Yes, they come at a price but they are worth every penny.

Is your Dad an art admirer? G-Shock have collaborated with legendary 1970s New York graffiti artist Futura. For their third collaboration together, Futura has used his monochrome atomic print to update a classic timepiece; the GD-X6900FTR-1. It has all the usual features of shock and water resistance, world time, LED backlight and a 10 year battery. If you or your father are a G Shock collector then this is definitely a watch you won't want to miss out on.
