If you are well organised, you might have started making a list and checking it twice, with ideas for Christmas gifts for female loved ones, friends or family. The festive season is rapidly approaching and now is the time to get yourself to the shops or take a deep breath and jump into some online searching. We know that finding the perfect present, especially if you have a budget, is sometimes not an easy task. So here at MenswearStyle we decided to try and help you guys out with a few hints which we believe might point you in the right direction. We have managed to find a selection of items from some of London's leading luxury retailers, all priced at around £100 or less. We hope at least one of these might just be the ideal gift for a girlfriend, wife, sister, mother or perhaps a friend you plan on impressing. If not, head over to this great guide to buying gifts for her for more ideas. We have tried to cover all areas including beauty, homeware, jewellery and fashion, all made by great designers.
Acne Studios Pansy Large Face Hat: One of these knitted beanies are a staple in any winter wardrobe. Every winter season, Acne Studios produce these woollen accessories (with their recognisable face patch) and you really can’t go wrong with it. The new season colour is bang-on trend for the festive season and I can guarantee any stylish girl will love wearing this! It is just ever so slightly over the budget but it will score you some fashion brownie points!
Nixon Time Teller Watch: This is the perfect gift if you are wanting to buy a nice watch for someone but without the heavy price tag. The Nixon Time Teller is a smart and simple piece that looks a lot more expensive than its price of £85. With its classic style comprising of a stainless steel bracelet and brass details, it is guaranteed to suit anyone.
Aesop London Kit: If you want to go down the beauty product route then this Aesop kit from Net-A-Porter should be top of your list. At £50 your loved one can have a set of some of Aesop’s best-selling products. They are all travel-size so they are brilliant to take on holiday and they even come in their own bag that will fit nicely into hand luggage. Aesop products are a touch of luxury and look and smell amazing in any bathroom.
Monica Vinader A-Z Pendants: A beautiful rose gold letter pendant would make a lovely present for a girl who likes to wear simple jewellery. Each initial, from Monica Vinader’s Alphabet Collection, has been designed in a different font so you can even layer up a few if you wish, to create a unique look. The chain is sold separately so either you could purchase that as well or it could simply be added to any other necklace to add a personal touch. All letters are also available in silver.
Aspinal of London Essential Cosmetic Case: For a lady who has a lot of makeup and needs to keep everything organised in her handbag, the Aspinal cosmetic case is extremely useful. It is available in a variety of colours but we think the navy lizard print calf leather is the smartest and the more reliable option, if it comes to worrying about colour preference! Aspinal make beautifully handmade leather items but this one is great for keeping everyday essentials in.
Comme des Garcons Tartan Wallet: A trend follower’s must-have and this tartan one is no exception. It is particularly festive in its red and green wool with gold-tone zip. These small but stylish wallets are ideal for people who like to travel light with a couple of cards or simply keep their change separate. It could make a generous stocking filler or just a gift for someone who has a quirky sense of style!
Off-White Red Tube Socks: Virgil Abloh and his streetwear brand, Off-White, are having a bit of a ‘moment’ right now so if you have a friend or a girlfriend who loves their fashion, these socks will be a big hit! Whilst not for everyone, as they certainly are on the eccentric end of the fashion spectrum…these would be seasonably sparkly under the Christmas tree, and afterwards worn with a pair of fresh white trainers. If you were lucky enough to grab some of his Nike collaboration trainers, these would be the ultimate accessory!
Kikki.K Stationery Lovers Advent Calendar: This is a slightly different option for a Christmas present as it is one you would need to give at the beginning of December. However this advent calendar from kikki.K, available in Selfridges, makes a really unique gift, particular for someone who loves their stationary or homeware items. Every day reveals a different surprise including a tiny candle and notebook. This would be an great gift to perhaps send abroad to someone you may not be able to visit over Christmas.
Fashion Together Book: Are you a fashionable couple? This could be a nice thought for your partner as this coffee table book, Fashion Together, takes a look at some of the most fascinating partnerships to have developed in the industry. It features some truly beautiful photography and exclusive conversations (18 interviews to be precise) from various designers. Not only is the book eye-catching but it would make a great read by a roaring log fire.
Polaroid 600 square camera: If you fancy making and recording some memories this Christmas, this would be perfect for a family member or a creative friend. The retro Polaroid is back in style and this original Vintage 600 is easy to use and a lot of fun! Whoever receives this can put their iPhone to one side for a day and take some instant classic snaps.
