Introducing the TRIWA Comb-Over Watch

What happens when an April Fools’ Day joke goes wrong? Well, it can end up being a silver lining – something that Scandinavian watch brand TRIWA have experienced on the back of their prank which saw a Donald Trump Comb-Over design. Due to such a massive response the brand received on their April Fools’ watch design they’ve now decided to move this into production. However, they need their customers who hyped about the watch to go ahead and pre-order the watch priced £75/$99. They need at least 100 pre-orders to make it happen and therefore they need help to crowdfund this. If TRIWA reach the 100 orders by the 15th of April they will start production and have the watch delivered in 90 days. We’re pretty sure it’ll become a collectors’ item and make a mark in history. So, if you want this watch company to reach their goal and you’d like to become a unique owner of the TRIWA Comb-over watch, you know what to do!

Here’s the original April Fools' Day hoax email:

We are proud to present our latest watch TRIWA Wig, based upon one of our bestselling cases Klinga, with a strap made from recycled wigs. To illustrate the importance of wigs the watch comes with an illustration on the dial, highlighting hair loss issues. TRIWA wig is limited to 100 pieces where each piece is unique due to the nature of the strap material. For each watch sold we give back 15% to the International Comb Over Foundation (ICOF). ”We are really, really, really proud to make our contribution to this little talked about issue. We want to make wigs great again and by recycling them into watch straps they get a new purpose.” Says, Hary Baldman, Chief Strap designer at TRIWA. Please sign up below to contribute to the fight against bad hair loss.

Founded in 2007 by four friends with the goal to change the attitudes in the watch industry that they thought was too focused on status and tradition. TRIWA (Transforming the Industry of Watches) was born with the purpose to transform the watch into a modern style symbol through a combination of classic silhouettes and contemporary Scandinavian simplicity.
