boohooMAN Launch Collaboration with Rapper Quavo

Global online fashion retailer, boohooMAN.com, has today launched an exclusive 200-piece urban streetwear collection in collaboration with American rapper, songwriter and record producer, Quavo. As part of this dope collab, the 27-year-old MIGOS star will be the new face of the online retailer’s spring summer collection. In addition to fronting the range, Quavo has worked alongside the brand’s design team to create this range that embodies his style, and we think it’s pure fire!

The boohooMAN x Quavo spring/summer 2019 drop features menswear pieces spanning ready-to-wear and accessories. Inspired by Quavo’s bold style and eccentric taste, each item epitomizes his ‘Huncho’ persona. Directional in approach, the collection consists of statement, urban streetwear, perfect for festival season. Tie-dye sets take centre stage in the form of double denim, tracksuits and t-shirts, while psychedelic prints and 90s silhouettes are showcased through rock tees, neon separates and bright velour two pieces. Accessories are key throughout; bucket hats, bum bags, peak caps, sliders, transparent PVC body bags and mesh utility vests are perfect finishing touches.

A few favourites among the MenswearStyle office include: The Quavo Hooded Tracksuit in Lime which certainly caught our eye as an on-trend piece which will take you from club to festival in style. And according to research by Edited neon has grown a whopping 743% compared to last year. #Neon is even associated with over 10 million IG posts, so now is the time to buck the trend. Tie-dye is clearly the hero print in this collection and there’s some awesome lines to feast your eyes upon. Key threads include the Purple Quavo Regular Fit Tie-dye Denim Jacket that horizontally fades from purple, through navy and green. Then there’s the Quavo Tie-dye Skinny Jogger which has a print reminiscent of battery acid in a puddle of engine oil which looks epic!

Then there’s the Big & Tall Quavo Tie-dye Hoodie which is another favourite of ours; with a bold and playful print that looks as though you’ve just come back from a Holi Festival of Colours celebration. The iconic Acid House Smiley symbol is given an eerie new look with a warped melted version printed on the front of the Quavo Loose Fit Drip Face Tie-dye T-Shirt. However, for a more subtle and understated representation of this trend you can opt for the Quavo Oversized Black Tie-dye Denim Jacket which features a subtle white cloud-like print. Alternatively, there’s the Big & Tall Quavo Palm Tie-dye Denim Jacket in blue which is very similar but has the addition of black stencil palm tree prints. Finally, we love the Quavo Blotch Dye Cagoule in green and purple - featuring an almost camouflage-like print – it’s perfectly practical for the British outdoors, especially during festival season.

The product ranges from £3 - £50, staying true to the brand’s ongoing values of creating affordable, trend-led fashion for all without breaking the bank. Quavo’s involvement has allowed boohooMAN to create a range that appeals to his widespread fan base, and with the addition of his Huncho logo on a selection of items, the range instantly becomes collectable. With boohooMAN growing globally at a rapid rate, collaborating with Quavo is a huge milestone for the Manchester-based retailer and one that is sure to appeal to the brand’s key audience of young men heavily invested in today’s popular music genres; grime, hip-hop and RnB. Samir Kamani, CEO, boohooMAN.com commented: “We’re delighted to announce our largest global partnership to date with international hip-hop artist, Quavo. Quavo appeals to our target audience and we’re excited to have him join the boohooMAN family. 2019 is going to be a huge year for our brand, and this collaboration is only the beginning.”
