Autumn Style Inspiration

We took this photograph when in Florence on a cold January day. For us, Autumn/Winter is our favourite season for men’s fashion and this is a prime example of why we like it so much. Firstly, it’s the time of year when a man can wear a full suit without feeling too hot and uncomfortable. Then there’s the fact that you can layer heritage fabric garments to keep warm, with many men putting their own spin on things.

Finally, it’s the autumnal neutral colours that really gets us excited. Brown, burgundy, purple, green, navy... this guy has used all these colours to create both a striking yet classical look. It reminds us that colour is so important in style and that classic tailoring can still stand out against any modern trending garment.

Tweed Brown Check Blazer – This single breasted one button jacket features brown suede elbow patches and trimmings to the collar and pocket. We really like the red detail in the check pattern and twin flap pockets.

Harris Tweed Sports Jacket – Harris Tweed is a perfect fabric for winter. It’ll keep you both warm and dry at the same time. It is spun from 100% pure virgin wool and features a single breasted design with two slanted pockets.

Knitted Plain Green Tie – Here’s a similar tie by Frederick Thomas which due to the knitted fabric is perfect for the winter season. A great tip to remember when tying a tie that is manufactured using this fabric is to opt for the standard ‘School Boy’ knot. It’s both easier to perfect and looks better.

Blue Button Down Classic Shirt – This shirt by Jay & Leonard is almost identical to the one pictured. It’s a cotton blend finish with standard cuffs. If you feel daring unbutton the collar buttons for a bit of Sprezzatura.

Blue Cardigan – This Jack & Jones cardigan brings a laidback style to the look and will help your overall smart-casual look. It is made from pure cotton and we really like the wooden look buttons.

Knitted Cardigan – A good more playful alternative to the brown option by Brave Soul in a wintery wine red shade with subtle autumn orange flecks throughout.

Printed Handkerchief – This silk hanky features a very interesting pattern with a majoritypurple shade which is great for winter. The unique patterns make it a striking detail which isn t too overpowering.

Solid Colour Pocket Square – If you prefer to keep things simple and aren’t yet brave enough to tackle all this colour matching and patterns, you can tone down the pocket square by simply going for a solid colour. This one is in a nice neutral burgundy shade.

This Collection is part of an eBay competition that is running over November and December, and if you Follow you will be in with a chance to win an eBay voucher to the value of £20. The winner will be chosen at random from their eBay ID and notified by the 5th January.
