BARBOUR CELEBRATES THE GREAT BRITISH SUMMERTIME BY REWARDING ITS MOST ENGAGED GLOBAL SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWERS
British lifestyle brand Barbour will be celebrating the Great British Summertime between the 15th of June and the 5th of July by giving away a Limited Edition Picnic Rug to its most engaged social media followers globally. Dubbed the ‘Rather Handy Picnic Rug’ and created using Barbour’s famously durable wax cotton fabric, the rug is unique due to its ability to offer a multitude of uses - converting from a standard picnic rug into a hooded poncho, a dog towel and even a wine cooler - covering every eventuality during the typically changeable British Summertime weather.
Only 250 of these Limited Edition Picnic Rugs have been produced and will be up for grabs in a competition that will feature across Barbour’s global Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels for three weeks between 15th June and 5th July.
Fans following any of Barbour’s social media accounts will be able to enter the competition by simply sharing how they’re going to make the most of the summer using the hashtag #BarbourPicnicRug. Sophie Bolland, Global Digital Campaigns Manager at Barbour, commented, "We all know how unpredictable the weather can be during the summertime, so being a British brand known for our relentless love of the great outdoors, we thought we’d celebrate the fact that we’ll be out enjoying the summer, rain or shine by creating the multi-functional Rather Handy Picnic Rug."
