Win a £180 Paulin Commuter Numerical Watch

To celebrate the launch of Glasgow-based watch brand’s new Commuter Numerical watch, we’ve teamed up with British design brand Paulin to give one away to a lucky MenswearStyle reader. The Commuter Numerical is part of a collection of three ranges released this year featuring their new bespoke Geo typeface created especially for this timepiece. The new design combines the Geo numerals with the classic, simple design and slim profile of the original Commuter, which was designed as their everyday watch.

Paulin describe the idea for the typeface as being inspired by the restrictions of its intended use - specifically the small size it would primarily be used at. The numbers are created from simple geometric forms and gaps, which when viewed closely, have an aesthetic function, but when scaled down or viewed from further away the eye automatically fills in. As the Commuter Numerical is intended to be worn every day, Paulin has exclusively sourced hard-wearing and high-quality materials. The 3-piece case is manufactured from 316L grade stainless steel, PVD coated and finely brushed to give a satin/matte finish, which is more resilient than polished alternatives. The glass is coated with a layer of sapphire, making it highly scratch-resistant.
