8 Reasons Why you Need to Visit St. Barts

If you’re thinking about going on vacation in 2019, chances are you’ve considered a number of different places. Perhaps you’re looking for a st. barts honeymoon, a Spanish getaway or you’re thinking of going to Paris for a weekend city break. We're going to concentrate on the former because we think it's the perfect place to spend your holiday next year. If you would like to know why you should visit St. Barts, read on to find out.

1. The Beaches 

St. Barts is home to 22 beaches and all of them have white sands, clear blue waters and incredible panoramic views. The beaches here are nothing short of stunning and will make you feel like you’ve jumped into a desert island movie. If you would like to visit a quiet beach, make your way to Gouverneur beach where you’ll find your paradise. If you love to surf, you’ll want to spend a bit of time at Toiny beach as the waves are ideal for those who have a lot of experience. While you may not have the time to visit every beach in, you should try to visit as many as you can. Every beach is slightly different, and every beach is beautiful, so it’s worth your while visiting as many as you can.

2. Many Celebs Visit

Every now and again a celebrity is spotted in St. Barts. From the Clooneys to Harry Styles and other ultra-famous people. The villas in tend to offer a lot of privacy, which is why the rich and famous often come to these shores. While you’re never guaranteed to spot someone from the movie or music world, every now and then you may see someone famous, making your vacation even more exciting. 

3. It is Perfect for Yacht-lovers 

St. Barts is one of the world’s most-loved charter destinations. Attracting many wonderful yachts to its shores, yacht-lovers can spot the elegant and the astounding yachts at Gustavia Port. If you’re a sailing enthusiast or you like to dream that you will one day own a yacht, take a walk around the Port and meet the friendly visitors. If you would like to head on board, you’ll be pleased to know that some yacht companies offer you the chance to hire a yacht for a few hours, or even a whole day. So, jump on board and set sail around the island while you are waited on by a team of staff. Live the high life for a few hours and sip on some bubbly while the yacht takes you onto the blue seas while the sun drenches your skin.

4. It's a Tiny Capital City 

St. Barts is home to perhaps one of the world’s smallest capital cities. Gustavia is full of buildings with red roofs that look as though they’re made from gingerbread and are nothing short of delightful. You can explore the entire city on foot in just one day, and still have time to soak up the atmosphere and visit a few eateries. With 17th-century forts that line the beautiful harbour and a beach that’s laden with shells, Gustavia is a must-visit destination. 

5. The Glorious Weather 

St. Barts is home to some glorious weather, particularly between the months of May and June. With clear skies and beautifully hot sun, you’ll have the chance to sunbathe until you can't sunbathe no more. From the months of September to November the rainy season hits, so you may want to avoid the area. However, December right through until April is very hot and this is when most of the tourists arrive.

6. The Delicious Food  

The food that’s served up in St. Barts is nothing short of delicious. If you’re a food lover or something of a culinary expert, chances are, you’re going to love your time here. Visit Le Gaïac that proudly serves up some of the island’s favourite dishes, or spend some time in L'Esprit Saline, a place where people go to be seen. Many of the well-known restaurants are full to the brim during the summer months, so you may want to book a table as soon as you can. 

7. The Wildlife  

Home to dolphins, iguanas, barracudas, humpback whales, sea turtles and more, St. Barts is the ideal place to vacation if you love wildlife spotting. The incredible landscape, the climate and the weather bring with it some fascinating creatures that you may not have the chance to see in other parts of the world. A volcanic island that is surrounded by beautiful beaches, this destination is ideal for a wide range of wildlife that will take your breath away.

8. It is Luxurious 

If you are looking for a luxurious vacation, you need to come visit this area of the world. This beautiful Caribbean island is home to some amazing clubs, villas and hotels and designer shops. Full of glitz and glamour, the island is a playground for the rich and famous, which makes it ideal if you love the finer things in life.
