Discover Apposta Custom Tailored Men’s Shirts

Co-Founded by Gianluca Mei and Gianmarco Taccaliti in 2011, Apposta is an online made to measure shirt service which is considered the Italian leader of customisable clothing. With a user-friendly website you can easily make your own perfect shirt, manufactured in Italy to your own body measurements in 2 weeks. Once you've designed the shirt to your own personality and taste, you can edit and reorder it in the future with a simple click for added convenience.

Apposta offers a huge choice. When designing your own shirt, you will find there is more than 3,000 fabric options, so I would recommend using the filters according to the style of shirt you’re looking for e.g. I wanted a casual winter-friendly shirt to wear at the weekend, so I filtered by ‘Flannel’ to show only those fabrics available in that material. You could simply filter by 'Linen' if shopping for a summer one. I then chose my desired sleeve length, cuff type, pockets, fitting, collar, monogram and extras such as replacement collar/cuffs or pocket square. And as promised – with email updates keeping me informed along the way – my shirt arrived beautifully presented in a navy box within 2 weeks via UPS. My new shirt (pictured above) has quickly become my favourite go-to at the weekend, and will probably see me through until summer when it get's too hot to wear Flannel. However, to make things a little easier there is also a total of 150 pre-designed and customisable shirts which have been subdivided into different collections, styles and occasions of use e.g. wrinkle free, non-iron and stain repellent which will ward off everything from red wine to coffee, as the advanced performance style is specially woven to repel liquids that can cause unsightly marks, as well as nasty odours.

Apposta shirts combine the quality of the Made in Italy concept with new technologies adopted throughout the production process. Fabric options include many of the world's most prestigious fabric manufacturers certified by Oeko-Tex, an association responsible for ensuring safety, in terms of human and ecological requirements regarding textile articles throughout the entire production process. The standard size shirts are based on the average European male body type, but in order to receive your own perfect fit I would simply recommend you grab a tape measure and enter your very own measurements at no extra cost. Other design details to note is that they use mother-of-pearl buttons, the seams have eight stitches per centimetre, you get extractable collar stays, and both the base of the armhole and the side have a double-lapped seam.

They also have a policy to ensure you’re 100% satisfied with your shirt and that it fits you perfectly. If it doesn’t, they’ll fix it for free. With nearly 3,000 customer reviews via Trustpilot giving glowing feedback, they’re certainly keeping to this promise and have happy loyal customers as a result. Their website also educates men on various shirting topics, and you will find guides such as 'how to create your custom shirt', 'elements of your custom shirt', 'the fabric producers' and more. And if you’re based in London and not quite ready to trust yourself (or your partner) to measure your body correctly, you can book a free one-to-one consultation with a shirt expert who will assist you through the process of creating your measurement profile and help you order your bespoke shirt at the Apposta London office.
