8 STAY HOME MEN’S WARDROBE STAPLES
After a recent extension of the lockdown it’s more important than ever to look after ourselves. Some of you may have gotten yourself into a familiar routine but there is plenty of people out there still struggling with the unfamiliar situation. In this blog post we’re going to show you how to incorporate style at home to help bring some routine and to lift your mood. There’s nothing worse than sitting in your pyjamas all day. Remember that feeling when you last wore an amazing outfit and people complemented you? You can get the same feeling by dressing up at home, even if the only people to see you is your work colleagues on a Zoom meeting. To help you structure your day we’ve recommended men's fashion outfits for working out, lounging, pottering around the garden and going outside for a walk.
Zip Knitted Polo Top: When it comes to lounging around the house you want to feel unrestricted but cosy. This knitted polo shirt is just the number. You won’t be too hot during the spring season, but you’ll get all the texture benefits of knitwear. The piping to the collar adds a touch of class to this classic navy silhouette. All is left to do now is team it with a comfy pair of joggers.
Lounge Pants: Since every day is off duty for most of you guys, these joggers are a must-have and are just the right fit; not to tight and not too baggy. Nothing can beat them when it comes to binge watching your favourite TV shows on Netflix. The elasticated drawstring waistband gives a personalised fit and the cuff at the ankles makes for a great laidback look.
Windshirt: We were lucky enough to be treated to summer like weather during April but that’s all come to a halt. May is forecast to bring the true British elements. Although you’re probably only leaving the house for grocery shopping or a walk you’ll need a transition piece just like this camo windproof stretchy windshirt. It’s light enough to put in your bag in case of a sudden change in the weather.
Wax Jacket: Spring is a good time to wear a wax jacket due to the unpredictable weather and the temperature fluctuations. It’s not filled with down, so you won’t get too hot too hot, but the quilted lining will keep you warm enough. So, if you’re taking your dog for a walk through the fields or simply walking through the woods as part of your daily exercise allowance, be sure to bring a jacket just like this.
Club T-Shirt: All the gyms are closed but that doesn’t mean you have a good excuse to not workout. From YouTube workouts with Joe Wicks to smartphone apps such as Freeletics, its easy to get active right from your living room. Do it in style be sure to dress just as you would if you were going to the gym. It’ll put you in the right frame of mind. This cool blue sports top will do just the trick.
Dry Short: Completing the look, we’re recommending these grey shorts. Joggers will be too hot and restricting, so advice reserving those for lounging around the house rather than for your workouts. As we get closer to summer, you’ll be thankful you chose to bare the legs for your home workout sessions.
Printed Shirt: If you’re lucky enough to be self-isolating at a home with a garden be sure to make the most of it when the sun comes out. The Vitamin D will do you good and if you get yourself a sun lounger, a decent book and a sparkling lemonade, you can even pretend you’re on holiday. This printed shirt will help your imagination go from back garden in Suburbia to the Italian Coast. It features a Diamond tile print with Cuban collar and made from 100% Viscose material.
Baseball T-Shirt: The iconic baseball t-shirt has stood the test of time for many decades. We really dig the grey marl fleck design contrasted against the black raglan style sleeves with this one. It’s a perfect choice for relaxing in the garden whether that’s playing football with the kids or just kicking back with a magazine.
