THE BRANDS ON OUR FARFETCH BLACK FRIDAY WISHLIST
One of the biggest shopping events of the year is almost upon us. With huge discounts the norm during Black Friday, many of you will be holding out and hoping that some of your favourite branded threads will be reduced to bargain levels. With this in mind, we’ve turned to online fashion platform Farfetch to show you the menswear brands on our wishlist. Sadly they wouldn’t tell us if any of these will be included in their Black Friday promotion, but we will keep our fingers crossed nonetheless.
Snow Peak Boa thermal fleece mittens
Since 1958 Snow Peak has been making outdoor equipment for the outdoor enthusiast. They specialise in luxury family camping products and lightweight backpacking equipment. These gloves will ensure you win every snowball fight in style.
Desmond & Dempsey palm tree print long-sleeve pyjama shirt
A long distance move, many stolen shirts and too much spilt coffee lead to the idea of Desmond & Dempsey. Founders Molly and Joel set out to make ‘his shirt for her’ and solve their Sunday lounging woes. Since we're all spending a lot of time indoors right now, this shirt will give you permission to wear your pyjamas all day long.
Woolrich cable knit jumper
Woolrich was established in 1830 in north central Pennsylvania by founder John Rich. Today, it is the oldest American outdoor clothing brand, encompassing two distinctive labels: Woolrich John Rich & Bros., the contemporary high-end outerwear line distributed worldwide and Woolrich Outdoor, designed by the Japanese partner outdoor specialist Goldwin. For the man who doesn't do Christmas jumpers, make this your winter knitwear of choice.
New Balance 327 low-top sneakers
In 1906, New Balance began as a humble one-man operation founded on the belief that “we were born to move,” and has since grown into an international corporation, selling footwear and apparel in over 120 countries. Their mission has always been to support the performance of athletes, and with an unparalleled focus on quality and craftsmanship, they’ve come to set the standard for comfort and fit in an industry all too often driven by hype. This retro sneaker design is too cool to pass on.
Oliver Spencer Rockwell shirt
Oliver Spencer founded his eponymous label in 2002 and has since established himself on the international menswear stage; showcasing two collections a year. The brand has developed a sophisticated and intelligent design approach and continues to design a complete, contemporary wardrobe for the modern, fashion-conscious man. This light and comfortable shirt is perfect for those important WFH Zoom meetings.
Universal Works Austin wool cardigan
Universal Works was inspired by the founder's formative years growing up in a provincial midlands town in the seventies, part of a working class family that loved to dress well; seeing his Dad and Uncles in their work-wear and also when dressing for the weekend. This statement knitwear number is the reason we love the autumn and winter season.
Patagonia chest patch pocket T-shirt
Founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1973, Patagonia is an outdoor apparel company based in Ventura, California. A certified B-Corporation, Patagonia’s mission is to save our home planet. The company is recognised internationally for its commitment to authentic product quality and environmental activism, donating 1% of sales annually, contributing over $100 million in grants and in-kind donations since 1985. Wear this T-shirt with pride knowing it is doing good for the planet.
Stadium Goods Basic Crew socks
Stadium Goods are the world’s premier sneaker and streetwear marketplace, selling only the most sought-after footwear, apparel and other hard-to-find items on behalf of their sellers. They are driven by their principles and committed to providing the best consumer and consignment experience there is. These socks are a great stocking filler idea or simply a treat for your own feet in these colder climes.
Acne Studios Face-patch knitted beanie
Acne Studios is a Stockholm based fashion house with a multi-disciplinary heritage. The collections are defined by Jonny Johansson’s signature juxtaposing design and attention to detail, with an emphasis on tailoring and an eclectic use of materials and custom developed fabrics. We searched high and low for a chunky winter beanie, and this one is a clear winner.
