Choose the Suit and Get the Girl with House of Cavani

So, the nationwide lockdown is ending. Restrictions are lifting and freedom is finally coming back to us. You know what that means… Weddings are back, and it’s time to make her day! The ladies are looking and it’s your time to shine. Dust off your best suit and get ready for those evenings on the dance floor. However, disaster could strike if you realise the moths have eaten away at your clothes at the back of the wardrobe. We think it’s time to invest in another suit, but which suit? How do you decide? Let’s start simple.

Colour and Size

Colour is the best place to start when looking for a suit. With spring and summer coming in it is time to bring out the lighter colours. Greys, creams and blues are the tones for this time of year. Suits are a speciality at Cavani and for weddings they've certainly got you covered. Sizing is a common mistake for many guys, regularly settling for a suit jacket that doesn’t fit them. This is often the case in rentals. Sleeves that are too long or shoulders that are too tight make the groom, the best man or any guest look sloppy and often bigger than their actual size. Getting the right cut for your suit is crucial, it is going to be in photos forever after all.

Reusability

If you aren’t considering reusing your wedding suit you’re making a mistake. Your suit should never be an outfit that is worn once in a lifetime only. What sense does it make to buy something that you can only wear once?! When picking your suit try and go for formal colours that would fit well in other formal situations e.g. business meetings with just the jacket or formal events with the whole ensemble. Navy blue, grey and black is your safest bet. Choose a suit you can wear at dinner, another friend’s wedding or maybe even casually at the weekend. Book into the Cavani showroom so their team of trained staff can help you to find the perfect suit. Now you’ve got the suit, it’s time to figure out how to get the right kind of attention.

Walk this Way

Women will look at your attire first and then how you walk. First impressions are everything. Keep your wardrobe stylish and impeccable (it always helps to have a good Cavani suit). It’s always a good idea to take the look of a successful public figure in your business arena. Be confident. Confident people aren’t in a rush, so walk across the dancefloor with ease at any wedding. However, there is a difference between meandering and walking slowly with a purpose. Always look like you know what you’re doing and where you’re going.

Know where to look

Compliment a girl while staring at her feet and you’ll reek of insecurity. If you don’t feel comfortable looking into their eyes then look at the mouth or nose, they’ll never be able to tell the difference. Stand across from her at the drinks bar for any wedding and know exactly where to look. Staring elsewhere makes you appear uninterested and insincere – especially during the sweet talk. Also, she’ll respond better to realistic compliments. ‘You are the embodiment of everything I look for in a woman’ will immediately hit her alarms. ‘You have pretty eyes,’ will make her blush.

Take a Compliment

When she says she likes your jawline, simply smile and say thank you. The rule works for the ladies as well. Insecure people deflect compliments by asking, ‘really? Do you think so?’ or by listing the reasons they don’t deserve the compliment. Secure people accept praise gracefully and without ado.

Call before day 3

If she gives you her number at a wedding. CALL HER. Use the number within 48 hours, otherwise, you’ll look either scared or stupid for resorting back to high school mind games. If you get her voicemail, leave a message. Be confident and precise. State who you are, whose wedding you met at and why you’re calling. Don’t seek her approval, ask her a question that assumes her interest in you. ‘How soon would you like to get together?’

Have a Seat

Knowledge breeds confidence. Do you know where to sit during a dinner date? Always position yourself at a 90-degree angle. If she sits at the end of a table, take the first seat to her left. Turn at the waist, this gives her an opportunity to turn to you. A confident man will give the woman a chance to turn to him and is sure that she will (You may have to talk to the bride and her seating plan for this one).

Be Direct

If you’d like to kiss her, go for it. Kissing is an emotional thing, asking permission to do so brings it into the cognitive realm instead. The worst thing she can do is push you away, then her feelings are made clear and you should respect them. A confident man doesn’t feel emasculated if the women makes more money than does; he takes it as a compliment. The truth is, she wouldn’t be dating you if she didn’t think you were at least a catch.

Don’t expose your negatives

A wedding is a perfect time to show off your dance moves and gives you a great chance to learn more about your potential sweetheart. When talking about yourself, keep it positive. Stick to your best attributes and the interests you’re most passionate about. Give the press release version of you. Tell her everything good about yourself that you wouldn’t mind seeing on the front page of the newspaper tomorrow morning.
