I hope you all survived the extreme heat. 40.3C to be specific. It was far too hot for me and I’m already underway with a contingency plan for when this happens again. It basically involves getting a flight to Donegal, Ireland. Whilst London was on fire yesterday, Derrybeg was 14C and raining. I digress. As usual I’ve put together the best fashion releases I’ve come across in July 2022. Enjoy.
Chelsea Peers Summer Menswear Collection
Modern loungewear brand Chelsea Peers has launched its largest menswear offering to date. This stylish collection will help men to feel and look their very best this season, featuring high-quality summer essentials, including co-ords, towelling sets, swim shorts, pyjamas and dressing gowns. Seiko Prospex Heritage Turtle 1968 Re-Interpretation
This watch is nicknamed by Seiko fans as the ‘turtle’, due to its silhouette, side view and watch case back resembling a turtle with its curved comfortable shell. To divers, sea turtles are symbols of good fortune. This design is a modern interpretation of the original 1968 Turtle, featuring an elegant but sporty 5-row bracelet or reinforced silicone strap with a rail pattern taken from the design of the original Turtle and water resistant to 200m.
Harry Kirton for Thomas Pink Summer 2022
Thomas Pink, the London shirtmaker, has launched its new campaign posing the question: When is a white shirt pink? The answer, of course, is when it’s by Thomas Pink. The campaign, shot by photographer Pelle Crépin, features 23-year-old British actor Harry Kirton, who made his name playing Finn Shelby in Peaky Blinders, one of the infamous Shelby brothers in the Peaky Blinders gang headed by older brother Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy. Harry was the only member of the main cast to have been raised in Birmingham where the drama is set. The pictures feature the young actor wearing a number of different white shirt styles by Thomas Pink, styled in a variety of ways to express their versatility. Open at the neck, or with ties, they are matched with vintage-style trousers, jeans and chinos, to illustrate how a white shirt really is a fundamental building block of the male wardrobe.

Varsity Headwear x DHL
Norwegian cap specialist, Varsity Headwear has set itself a new challenge by joining forces with DHL international in a partnership to produce a limited edition run of 200 sustainable caps. This following DHL’s recent partnerships with both Vetements and Balenciaga. Born from a shared interest in decreasing carbon emissions and global footprint across their processes, the partnership has focussed on utilising Varsity’s new Sequel fabric, made from discarded plastic from both land and sea, as well as scrutinising all areas across production, packaging and transportation. Maintaining the brand’s natural signature, premium aesthetic, the caps feature subtle styling points including an interchangeable strap and logo - one featuring a DHL branded set and the other a black strap and Varsity Headwear logo - playing a bigger role in increasing functionality and longevity for customers. As well as the cap’s soft Seaqual body, the brim is also made from 100% recycled plastic and the soft shape of the caps has allowed for smaller shipping boxes, increasing transportation efficiency.
