Introducing Max Lemari Footwear

Introducing Max Lemari, the first luxury brand that lets you customise the finest hand-crafted shoes on Earth, right down to the finest detail. There's nothing we love more at MenswearStyle than championing great Kickstarter campaigns. For a great Kickstarter campaign to succeed you need 4 of these planets to align; a quality product with an inspiring story and an exceptional price that entices the buyer to pledge. Wait that's only two things, well who needs a 3rd when the first two are so great (Rik Mayall gag).

Having travelled Italy extensively throughout the last year, (including the Cinque Terra, the location chosen for the promotional Kickstarter campaign for Max Lemari) I can tell you the one thing Italians do not compromise on and that is quality. More poignantly, food, fashion and shoes.

What makes Max Lemari unique?

From their first collection you can customise your own pair of shoes to match your style. From the four types of leather materials down to the intricacies such as personalised initials on the heel (if you're into that kind of thing). Their classic collection is made up of 4 different models, each inspired by beautiful Italian Islands: Ischia, Capri, Lipari and Ponza. Suede was their first choice while developing this collection but they've also made loafers in Sporty Saffiano and Volanato. Quality is almost a pre-requisite when talking about Italian design; and the founder Max Lemari is no stranger to high levels of craftsmanship having worked for over 40 years with the most exclusive brands such as Gucci, Armani and Dior to name a few.

Of course like every Kickstarter campaign the brand likes to highlight the absence of a middle man which gives the company carte blanche to introduce their own prices to the market. The shoes coined 'drivers' are valued at over £440. Only Kickstarter backers will be able to receive a pair for a singular eyebrow raise of £162. Max Lemari are keen to stress this price will never be repeated for future collections so be quick and make your pledge today.

The campaign has today launched and Max Lamari have committed to an unbelievably rapid turnaround. "We promise to be the quickest fashion kickstarter ever. From our factory to your doorstep within 30 days of our campaign ending." For me the turnaround is probably the biggest USP and more brands looking to initiate a Kickstarter campaign should try to emulate this. I'll admit I have a tendency to be quite dismissive of companies that tease a launch of a product with anything later than 3 months. The time is now people!
