November 2020’s Best Men’s Grooming Drops

2020 is drawing ever closer to an end, which I'm sure we will all be thankful for. There’s no more important time to take care of your skin, and it’s always a great time to smell amazing too. So, here are my picks of the best in grooming for November.

Harvey Nichols x The Perfume Society Discovery Box

Last year saw the first collaboration between Harvey Nichols and The Perfume Society, offering a Discovery Box to showcase a range of wonderful fragrances to the world. Well I'm happy to say that it’s returned for a second year, featuring such fragrances as the bold and beautiful Flamenco by Ramon Monegal, Lipstick Fever by Juliette Has A Gun and L’Homme a La Rose by Maison Francis Kurkdijan. There’s sure to be something in the box that you’ll love, or it would make a perfect Christmas present for the perfume fan in your life.

Available from The Perfume Society - £45

Mojo Hair

Mojo Hair is the brainchild of Paul Adrian, who had the vision of combining high quality grooming products with luxury fragrance. The brand's signature fragrance is present throughout the range, which consists of Moulding Clay, Defining Paste, Styling Cream and a Fibre Shaper. I’ve spent time with each of the range and was impressed with the ease of application and longevity of the scent. The gold and black packaging is bold and sure to stand out against the competition. We all need to get our mojo back in 2021.

Available from Mojo Hair - £12

Yú Parfums

Fragrance can evoke memories and tell stories. Yú Parfums are offering the interesting concept of a fragrance subscription that comes in chapters and fragrances that feature a hero ingredient, an eccentric twist, and synergistic pairings. Edition I is called Fluidity of Woods, showcasing the hero notes of cedar, sandalwood and patchouli. Bi-monthly, bi-annually, and annual subscriptions are available, as well as offering full bottles of each fragrance. The story continues.

Available from Yú Parfums - starting at £40

The Other Saint

The Other saint was founded by a couple who moved to the south coast of England to escape the hustle and bustle of London. A slower pace and a new perspective gave Sean and Zoe inspiration to start a brand that’s offering high-quality skincare, in packaging that not only looks great, but is sustainable, made from wood and plant materials. The range includes masks, moisturisers, exfoliators and eye care, all of which are vegan. So don’t be a sinner, let the good guys take care of your skin.

Available from The Other Saint - starting from £17.50

Naughton and Wilson - Gravitas Pour Homme

Fougere fragrances are a favourite of mine, as well as Dan Naughton (MrSmelly1977 on Youtube). His love of fragrance and the fougere style has resulted in him teaming up with fragrance entrepreneur Matt Wilson. They enlisted the services of perfumer John Stephen, who created Gravitas, which is seemingly the greatest hits of the best fougere scents of all time. Gravitas gives a nod to the mature and classic scents that have come before, but remains modern with a bright and fruity twist.

Available from Naughton and Wilson - £90 for 100ml

Ole Henriksen

Ole Henriksen is a brand that has ticked many boxes for me. I love the packaging, the distinctive orange looks fantastic. Better yet, the products feel wonderful on my skin, and if I don't keep a watchful eye on them, they are stolen by my girlfriend. The 3 Mega Wonders set features their Dark Spot Toner, Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum and the C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme (their best selling products). Also, check out the cold plunge pore mask, it cools the skin to give you a sauna-like experience at home.

Available from Boots - £60

Memoize London - Ghzalh

Ghzalh is the latest release from Memoize London, created by perfumer Mylène Alran. Dark, sensual and smokey, Ghzalh is a fascinating combination of bergamot and maple at the top, liquorice root and vetiver in the mid, and a base consisting of guaiac wood, amber, musk and tonka. Ghzalh is as smooth and enveloping as it is bold and smokey, a beautiful scent that perfectly suits its striking ruby red bottle, certainly an excellent choice for the winter months.

Available from Selfridges - £197 for 100ml

Consisting of seven fragrances, La Route de la Soie offers you the opportunity to travel the route from home, showcasing the wonderful ingredients of each destination.
