Discover February 2021’s Coolest Stuff

With the current springlike weather and pubs soon to open up again, we finally have something to look forward to. You’re also probably overdue a haircut and 7 weeks feels like a lifetime away, but don’t worry, time will fly by. To help pass the time here’s a little light reading on this month’s coolest wares. We have a timepiece made from firearms and the most dapper pyjamas around, among others. So, following on from my January roundup, I’ve compiled a list of my favourite drops from February 2021 – enjoy.

Hancock Clothing

Hancock’s expert coat-makers have been producing unique garments in vulcanised rubberised cloth, bonded using a traditional manufacturing process that has remained virtually unchanged for over 175 years. Two layers of cloth are bonded with a layer of rubber, creating an impenetrable barrier that ensures the finished cloth is 100% waterproof and all Hancock handmade coats come with a lifetime guarantee on taping, collars and stitching. As dedicated creatives, they take inspiration from the generations of skilled artisans who came before them, while constantly striving towards the development of new products.

Area Code Clothing

They strive to build a community; one whereby consumers are connected to people in need. Each purchase has a purpose to make a meaningful impact. Therefore, the more commercially successful Area Code becomes, the more positive influence the community can provide in areas across the world that require a helping hand for positive change.

Triwa x Humanium Time for Peace 2.0

After being part of the destruction of over 12,000 illegal weapons, together with IM Swedish Development partner, and raising more than $100,000 to conflict torn societies TRIWA now launches Time for Peace 2.0. Time for Peace 2.0 is an updated design of their classic Humanium Metal watch. Each watch case consists of 100% Humanium metal, made from upcycled illegal weapons, and for each watch sold, 15% goes back to anti-violence projects in the same areas from which the weapons are confiscated. The new collection consists of 4 watches featuring two new cases with new straps, made from recycled PET. It also comes with two limited versions with graffiti peace prints on the strap. Since the launch of the first TRIWA x Humanium Metal watches in 2018, TRIWA has sold over 20,000 watches and donated over $100,000 to anti-violence projects in El Salvador, where the metal is produced.

The feeling of light, effortless speed. The feeling of the wind at your back. Every runner is searching for that flow state. Under Armour is inspired by their elite run athletes and is constantly pursuing the most innovative solutions to help them get better. The North Face Fleeces

With a 90s fit, shape and retro colours, the Fleeski Fleece Jacket ups the style stakes of any outfit. Thanks to the polyester fleece, that’s quick-drying, sweat-wicking and warming, it’s really wearable too – pretty much anywhere and everywhere. Complete the top-to-toe look with the complementary Fleeski Sweater. Named for the 7,161m summit that stands in the shadow of Mount Everest, the Pumori Expedition Jacket was inspired by a 1987 expedition to summit the highest mountain in the world. It has been made by recycling plastic bottles collected in the Himalayan foothills to create usable polyester and blended with responsibly sourced cotton. The result is a lightweight jacket that has a lighter impact on nature. A Sagamartha (the Nepali name for Everest) Expedition patch is on the arm.

Basic Nights by Basic Rights

Signature Basic Rights tailoring… now, with pandemic-proof utility. Camp collared shirts and coordinating trousers have been reimagined over the last year for this debut, limited-edition foray into loungewear. Or rather, a take on what modern luxury loungewear should be. Where Basic Rights is considered, restrained, and disciplined; Basic Nights brings indulgence and celebrates the eccentric and ostentatious. Think first class travel, awards shows with Julian Schnabel, Frank Ocean at home on the sofa. Each of the three styles are named after a constellation and exude a versatile, nonchalant sense of luxury that’s as fitting for home as it is for traveling, whenever that resumes.
