PARAJUMPERS SPRING/SUMMER 2021 COLLECTION
Parajumpers’ new Spring/Summer 2021 collection features new families as well as the iconic ones that has made the brand famous. This year’s collection puts a focus on the new category EVO, which stands for Evolution. These new models take all the key elements of classic pieces and make them innovative and modern through special treatments, innovative and new fabrics, and modern silhouettes.
The men’s EVO collection features two incredible families: PARARESCUE and RELOADED. The former is crafted in a resistant, strong nylon canvas with polyurethane coating and is garment dyed. The series is inspired by the vintage uniforms of the North American Rescue Team and is presented in bold colours, like the iconic Carrot orange. The Reloaded series takes on the classic models of the Masterpiece collection and gives them a new, different twist. The nylon micro ottoman undergoes a double bath dyeing process, one pigment base and the other is a nylon overdye. This creates more intense colours and highlights the structure of the jacket.
The women’s EVO collection focuses on flattering, contemporary silhouettes and a more fashionable approach to outerwear. The BAYSIDE family features an incredibly soft sateen fabric with new details - like the golden metallic zippers and buttons, and white pullers – and a relaxed fit. The HOLLYWOOD family follows this path, presenting a series of puffer jackets in a semi-shiny taffeta in neutral tones, with new golden metallic details. The zipper on a back creates a feminine, more comfortable A-line silhouette. The SHEER SHELL series features a long and delicate jacket with an oversized fit, crafted in super-light and transparent taffeta. Leya features new, golden metallic zippers and the elegance of a light, summer dress thanks to the fitted waistline. The ICONS category of both the men’s and the women’s SS21 collection are the families that best represent the brand and that have made it globally well-known: the MASTERPIECE and WINDBREAKER with their functional and iconic PJS details; the LEATHER series, as well as its SUEDE version, with their classic models and beautiful, soft leather.
Parajumpers gives more and more space to light jackets and hybrids: ideal for midseason temperatures, these jackets are a big part of the collection. The classic families - SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT, DAY TRIPPER, and SHEEN are completed by new ones. Men can also choose the VARSITY family with two classic models, where the down is directly injected into the tubular construction, and crafted in small nylon ripstop that also contains elastane, making the fabric stretch and creating a more comfortable puffer jacket. The women’s collection also features DUSTER and QUILTED families: the former has vertical stitching, classic designs, matte finish and delicate colours: the latter reinterprets classic, elegant designs with modern, flattering silhouettes and new golden details. With each new collection, Parajumpers confirms its aim to develop even more fleeces and tees. A focus has been made on special techniques for the SPRAY FLEECE, SPRAY T-SHIRT and also SPRAY POLO for men, which feature a garment dyeing process and then a manual top coloured pigment spray, giving the finished piece a cool, modern look. The fleeces and tees collection present a variety of pieces with distinctive elements that are part of the brand identity, like the iconic details (patch and yellow tape) embroidered or printed on FLEECES and T-SHIRTS; the RESCUE FLEECE in the men’s collection with its new iconic orange tape keychain; and also the FLEECE & NYLON series for men, which features a combination of fabrics, adding a different twist to classic activewear.
The ACCESSORIES complete the SS21 collection with practical and functional caps, and a series of high-quality bags. Crafted with great attention to detail and functionality in mind, the backpacks, duffle bag and helmet bag are the perfect choice for travellers as well as urban adventurers, for their sturdiness and gritty look.
